Cecilia Lee
Cecilia Castro Lee is a writer, bilingual poet, literary critic, and translator. She was born in Bogotá, Colombia, South America. She holds a PhD from Emory University in Romance Languages and Literatures. She has published twelve books on Spanish and Latin American Literature, a family memoir, and numerous articles, prologues, and book reviews in international journals. She has translated and published literary works and has lectured in many countries. Her poetry book, The Party is not Over/La fiesta no ha terminado was published in 2020 by Bavela Publishing, Carrollton, for which she was nominated Georgia Author of the Year. Words that Breathe /Palabras que respiran is her second bilingual poetry book. Many of her poems have been published in international journals. In 2021, she received the “EscriDuende Award” for her book, Estudios críticos sobre la literatura española y colombiana by Sial Pigmalion Editions, Madrid Book Fair, 2021. In 2012, she joined the Carrollton Writers Guild. This has been an enjoyable and enriching experience.
She writes poetry both in English and Spanish.
