West Georgia Premier Literary Festival
Calling Readers and Writers!
The third annual Carrollton BookFest will be held on
April 4th and 5th, 2025.
This exciting two day event will highlight local, regional, and national best selling authors.

For writers, on Friday, three workshops are available. Bren McClain's Master Writing Class, Lola Schaefer's workshop on children's literature and George Weinstein and Kim Conroy's practical "Pathways to Publication." Something for everyone!
​
For readers, Saturday will feature "Conversations with the Authors." Morning and afternoon sessions will give readers opportunity to visit with the authors. Coffee and pastries for the AM sessions and wine and cheese for the PM sessions will provide a casual atmosphere in which to learn about the authors and their works. Bring your book club and make is a social outing!

Morning sessions end at 11:30 with the featured speaker at 1:30 pm. This will provide ample time for participants to explore Carrollton's Adamson Square and the great dining available for lunch.

Supporting the growth of new and published writers in West Georgia, the Carrollton Writers Guild hosts read and critique groups in Just Poetry, Just Prose, Just Memoir, and Just Saturday (prose, poetry and memoir). We also organize and present learning opportunities focused on writing and editing skills at local libraries and the Center for the Arts. For more information, visit the Carrolltonwritersguild.org.
